We have been working hard over the past few months to get the redesign of our logo and website completed. We believe that both items will give us a stronger marketing presence and refreshing new look. After 10 strong years, we felt that our logo just needed a little pick me up! As for the website, we are of the opinion that it will be the most user friendly website of any of our competitors. It will elevate your ability to do business with us and the information you can gather from us will be at a level unprecedented by our competitors. The site will continue to be developed as we work to provide online rating for some of our most popular programs in the very near future. Additional enhancements are in the planning stages and will be announced as we enter into development!
Unit Concept
We are always looking at improving our internal procedures with the ultimate goal of improving the service we provide to you. After considerable review of our internal workings, we have concluded that a unit concept is the most efficient way for work to flow through our office.
What is this unit concept?
Quite simply, it is the reorganization of MVGA personnel into groups. Groups will be assigned to a select agency base and will work entirely with those agents assigned to them. Each group will contain personnel from all job functions so that you will know who to talk to when you have questions. This will allow for cross training throughout our office, so there will not be just one person that can help you.
How is this different from how MVGA currently operates?
Currently we are setup in a departmentalized fashion that does not allow for the kind of communication and cohesion we want to see in our agency. As of now information is passed on from department to department with little group communication on how certain information or tasks effect the next department. Our unit concept will correct this behavior as each person in a unit will work closely with the next to complete the entire transaction.
How will this affect me?
We anticipate some growing pains as we move through this project; however we do not anticipate that this change will have any major negative effects on you. The largest change for some of you may be the new personnel handling your accounts. Due to the size of our agency plant, we will have to reorganize our underwriting assignments so that each unit has similar numbers of agencies to work with. This could mean that your agency may lose an underwriter that you have worked with for some time. We understand how important relationships are and are confident with the ability of our staff that you will be able to build those bonds to your new underwriter(s) in no time.
When will this start?
We started the transformation in late 2007 and will continue to move through the process in 2008. As we move further towards the our units, you will be notified as to any changes that will directly affect your office.
